My little pony cutie mark cross stitch designs

My Little Pony - cutie mark cross stitch designs

Rarity, Pinkie pie and Applejack

Designs of the cutie marks of three of the main characters in the new My little pony, Friendship is magic series.
For each of these three I also included their name in a font which I thought represented their personalities.
Rarity has an elegant and flowing font. The swirls are inspired by her flowing main and tail and of course she is elegant and sophisticated.
Applejack has a straight forward font. She is down to earth and doesn't like any fancy nonsense. The colour matches the colour of her coat.
Pinkie pie loves to party and to be honest he is very random in her actions. (always with the best of intentions) so I went crazy with her font and added cakes and her famous party cannon.

As always I claim no ownership of the characters. Just posting some fan art in cross stitch design for all you cross stitching Bronies

Link from the Minish Cap cross stitch design

This is a picture of Link as he is seen in the Minish cap.
This picture is cushion sized and uses whole stitches only with a little backstitch.

Make me want to go back and play this all over again. But I think I have had just enough of the water temple for now.

This design was drawn originally with Anchor colours in my program. Use anchor threads to get the closest match. I used a conversion chart to get the DMC numbers.

Please let me know if any colours are off and I will amend them in the chart.

As always I claim no rights to this character. Just drawing some fan art to share. The picture is based off a piece of Nintendo promotional art to help get the pose right.

Classic Doctor Who logo cross stitch design

Classic Doctor Who logo cross stitch design

I'm showing my age here but I remember running to find the best place on the sofa when I saw this come on.

I was never scared of the old Dr Who, my Dad always explained how the special effects were done.
However in the new series I must admit the weeping angels really got me. Coo I almost fell of my chair in fright that episode.

This design is one of a couple I'm considering for another Dr Who mad friend. Will post more when I'm done.

Simple baby feet birth sampler design

A friend of mine has had a lovely baby boy. So I designed this simple baby feet birth sampler.
I have also added a set of numbers for you to change the date of birth as you like. (I left it as zeros here because I designed this before the baby was even born)

If you want to make this pattern more ornate try finding a fancy alphabet to write the babies name in. Longer names will require you to put the names at the top and bottom of the feet or perhaps in backstitch lettering for a more delicate touch.

Heres a link to a whole stitches only fancy Alphabet I sketched out but feel free to use any you like the look of: http://buzybobbins.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/fancy-alphabet-cross-stitch-design.html

And of course if you want to change this design for a beautiful baby girl its as simple as changing the colours perhaps to one that will go with the decoration in the newborns nursery.

Birth samplers are sometimes a little daunting I have sometimes struggled to finish one before the baby arrived. So this time Im going for a nice simple one which I am guaranteed to finish before his first birthday.
